Starting Point is a tremendous resource for anyone just beginning or reengaging their faith journey. This unique resource produced by Andy Stanley and the Starting Point team walks participants through the primary themes and critical components of the Christian Story. Designed to be used in a small group structure, this resource presents the Meta-narrative of Scripture in a format that is highly accessible to virtually anyone.
The participants guide is loaded with intros and explanations for each part of the story, tension points that surface as we seek to connect our experience with what the Scriptures teach, and pointed questions designed to help personalize the material as well as build community within the group. Asking tough questions like, Can we believe the Bible?, Can God be trusted?, Why does He allow evil? What is the Bible all about? Where do we find ourselves in His Story? What is the end of the Story? - Starting Point is honest and vulnerable.
I would highly recommend this resource as a tool to be used with seekers, new believers, those that have been disillusioned by religion all together, or as a ten week curriculum for established small groups. It is dynamic material that creatively lays out a Biblical worldview of who God is, who we are, how he has revealed himself to us, and the story He is telling. Don’t miss Starting Point. - Nathan J.
